Who are the AESOP Young Academics?

The "Young Academics" are a loosely structured network within AESOP , in which everyone who wishes to is invited to participate. Within the network, topic groups can be established.

CORE AIMS

The young academics network has two core aims.

-to make AESOP a challenging environment for young academics.
-to open up the structure of the organisation to encourage young academics to be more involved.

ORGANISATION OF THE YA NETWORK

A coordination team of six persons facilitates the network. The members of the coordination team are elected by the members of the network. Every year at the AESOP conference, two new members are elected. One person from the coordination team represents the YA network in the AESOP executive committee and council.

The role of the representative is to stimulate debate in the AESOP EXecutive COmmittee and Council on ideas for and changes in AESOP that will improve involvement of young academics in AESOP. The representative has to exchange all the relevant information between the executive committee and the YA network.
